Voltaire's latest animated short, DemiUrge Emesis, is having its premiere over at Small and Creepy Films! It is narrated by Danny Elfman and the soundtrack is recorded by Rasputina.

According to the email I got from him a few days back, Voltaire is going to put all his current projects on hold to go into the studio to record a black metal album.

According to him, it will feature the same style of lyrics, but in a completely different genre.

The album is due for release late 2010.

This is something I have been planning on making since I first started working on the website, and I finally finished it. Please join the Vorutania Forum at this link, or simply click on "Forum" in the menu.

There's still some minor tweaking of the layout that should be done, and I don't know all of it myself yet, so if you see something strange while browsing, please tell me about it so I can fix it.

Also, the usernames "Voltaire", "V", "Deady" and "VoltaireNyc" (etc.) are blocked for registration to prevent abuse, and are reserved in case Voltaire himself would want to use them. This is the reason why you can not register an account with them. :)

I just uploaded an exclusive Interview I did with Voltaire the 27nd of February 2010. You can read it at this page here at Vorutania!

Also, I've made some minor changes to some of the sections, for example a chronological sorting of the online interviews at the interview-section and adding a link to X-Mess Detritus at the Animation-section.

I updated the lyrics page with the new cover song A Wolf at the Door, originally a song by Radiohead. I also added the compilation to the compilations-page.

Voltaire updated his facebook profile with news about the next animated short film:

"Hoping to finish my 4th short film this month. It's called DemiUrgeEmesis. Just hired the sound designer, Graham Resnick and I just confirmed the narrator. It's a singer of course. More news later."

Voltaire has made a "Yoka" - a small vinyl bear - of Deady. It's made by a company named Adfunture and is in a toy show put on by distributors DKE, who also distribute the Deady "not bootleg"!
